Driving Age

Many people think that the government should stop giving Licenses to minors.
There are many reasons that this is a good and a bad idea.
Pro.
Parents think that their child, wont be able to learn to drive any better by raising the driver age
but with more experience.
If anything parents should start teaching their children how to drive at a earlier age. To give
them more experience. Just think about learning how to ride a bike, you wont get better at riding a bike
by learning how to at a later age, but by practicing and learning how to balance on the bike.
So will raising the age give kids anymore experience on driving?
Driving is after all a skill just like many others riding a bike for instance or even cooking.
Like all other skills you cant master them with lack of experience, you need to work at it easing into the
harder stuff. One way to solve this is to require more time on the rode with a responsible adult.
Thus granting the child more experience. If you raise the age it will not prevent the number of deaths
but raise the the drivers age from 17-20.some states are also considering raising the time a teen has a
permit from six months to twelve. Since we all know while you have a permit you need a responsible
adult in the car with you. So this method would let the student have more experience before he/she can
drive on their own.

More than 5000 teens a year die from car accidents. Most new drivers have an accident within
their first two years driving. Parents and older adults believe that they were not responsible enough to
be able to handle
a giant heap oh metal with wheels And if they were older they would be more responsible and have
more common sense. By raising the driving age their will be about 2% less cars on the rode
and thus will help global warming, this will also reduce overcrowding on the rode, this could also
prevent some accidents.
15% of accidental deaths on the rode are caused be drivers under 21 in the UK.
If teens were to wait until they were 18 to get a drivers license they would be more responsible
and be more aware while driving. More innocent children wont die because they were not ready to
handle a car.
Very few country’s think that 16 year old's are old enough to vote or drink so why put them
behind the wheel? When they can cause so much more harm to others and them self.
New drivers should not be allowed to drive some larger vehicles such as SUV's or Hummers.
In the fact that if they hit another car or even a person that they would be doing much more damage.
Than if they were driving something smaller such as a station wagon. Since larger cars are harder to
drive there wont be as any accidents.
But if there is a law about raising the age to drive then why is their not a law that you must go
and do a repeat drivers exam every ten years to prevent reckless drivers from being on the rode. There
are many different views on this topic in the fact that there is a solution to everything so why would
raising the driving age fix this problem all it is doing is changing the accidents cased by 17 year old's to
19 year old's.
